Matthew joined XL Catlin as Head of Captive Programmes in 2014. In this role he is responsible for growing XL Catlin’s captive fronting business and for ensuring that existing captive clients get a high quality level of service. Before joining XL Catlin, Matthew spent 9 years at AIG. His roles there included leading AIG’s alternative risk financing team in the UK, which focused on providing solutions for risks that were new or difficult to insure, typically in partnership with a client’s captive. Prior to AIG, he held roles at ACE and Willis and has been in the insurance industry for over 20 years.
