With a Law Degree, Juan Carlos López Porcel started his career in the steel company ENSIDESA (Spain), where he followed a development program, working for operational, financial and commercial areas, reaching finally the Risk & Insurance discipline.

During his 29 years of experience, he has participated in several processes of mergers and acquisitions in the steel industry (ACERALIA in Spain, ARCELOR in Europe and finally ARCELORMITTAL with worldwide perspective, where he is currently Manager of Risk & Insurance for Southern Europe).

Executive MBA International and Master in Maritime Law, he is also accredited broker in Spain (DGSFP), Expert in Risk Management, President of Spanish Association of Risk Management & Insurance (AGERS) and Associated Teacher of ICEA (Investigation & Cooperation among Insurers), MAPFRE Foundation and ArcelorMittal University, participating as speaker in international and domestic sessions, publishing regularly articles and essays in magazines and specialized press in the sector.
