Hanne Aaboe is a Director at DONG Energy A/S, being the Head of Group Insurance as well as Managing Director of DONG Insurance A/S (captive).

Hanne joined DONG Energy in 2011 where she is responsible for all lines of insurance, operational and construction, for all Business Units (Wind Power, Oil & Gas, Bioenergy & Thermal Power, Distribution & Customers Solutions).

Aside from the commercial insurance placements Hannes responsibilities also includes for the captive, DONG Insurance, insuring primarily property assets (offshore and onshore, construction and operational), marine hull and marine cargo.

Hannes insurance career started at Nordlyset Forsikring (Provincial) as a management trainee. Since then Hanne has been employed as insurance broker for Aon and Willis respectively and not least been Director of Group Risk Management for Group 4 Falck and later, Senior Insurance Advisor at Maersk Oil & Gas.

Working for DONG Energy, being world leader in renewable energy and especially offshore wind, Hanne is responsible for insurance and risk management of several levels, including legal aspects, M&A, innovation of alternative risk financing solutions etc.

Hanne graduated in 1991 as lawyer from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in insurance law and business management.
