Dirk Wegener is Global Head of Corporate Insurance for Deutsche Bank AG based in Frankfurt, Germany. His areas of responsibility include the global transfer of Deutsche Bank’s (primarily operational) risks to insurers as well as the management of Deukona GmbH, the in house insurance broker of Deutsche Bank, and DB Re. S. A., Deutsche Bank’s captive insurance company.

Dirk is a Board Member of FERMA and holds the position of Vice President.

Before joining Deutsche Bank group in 2012, Dirk spent 16 years in risk and insurance management at a German automotive company.

Dirk graduated as “Diplom-Kaufmann” at the University in Cologne after studying Economics and Business Administration, followed by a trainee program with a German Insurer, where he started his career as a Third Party Liability Underwriter.
