Brendan Plessis is XL Catlin’s Executive Vice President for Emerging Markets. In this role Brendan leads the development of emerging market strategies by partnering with leaders across XL Catlin, in both Insurance and Reinsurance.

Brendan joined XL Catlin in July 2015, previously holding a position as a managing director at Guy Carpenter & Company, Singapore. He was the head of multinational and retrocession business for South East Asia, South Korea, India, China and Greater China. Prior to working at Guy Carpenter, Brendan held various senior level positions with Willis Re Bermuda, Gallagher Re Bermuda, IBL/Independent Management Group Bermuda and Aon Limited UK.
