Peter Hacker has two decades of global innovation (product development and distribution) leadership experience in the Financial Services (Direct, Reinsurance, Structure Finance and Advisory) and Information, Communication and Technology Industries (ICT). He is internationally recognized as insurance industry thought leader, public speaker and writer. Prior to co-founding Distinction.Global, formerly a unit with the Cyber Crime Research Institute, an independent think tank in the area of Cyber Crime and Cyber Security, Peter held global and regional senior executive leadership roles in Zurich, London and New York.
The focus of his work and research has been for many years on top management level of leading global companies, regional and international organizations and risk stakeholders (insurers and brokers). This advisory addresses requirements from risk aggregation, correlation challenges and board responsibilities with regards to Intangible Risks (Cyber Security), strategies for board in risk management and advice related to incident management and risk transfer decisions.
In the last five years, he advised successfully B2C and/or B2B across the European Union, North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America, South Africa and the Middle East. With more than 250 presentations in more than 40 countries Peter is one of the leading experts in the field of Intangible Risks (Cyber Security) and Enterprise Risk Strategies. He is multi-lingual and fluent in five languages.
Peter holds and Economics Degree from University of Applied Sciences in Zurich, a dual MBA degree from both London Business School and Columbia Business School and was nominated by CBS to the international honor academic society – Beta,Gamma , Sigma in 2004
