One of the lessons of crisis management is that good communication is as important as the operational response. Using a mobile app, this session will challenge risk managers to test their communication skills by confronting them with real, live crisis situations.
Martin Schachtschneider, Business Development Manager, BELFOR Deutschland, and Steven Burghardt, Executive Vice President Business Development EMEA, Europ Assistance, will join Jana Bicanová, founder and former president of the Czech Risk Management Association, for an interactive discussion of how to get back to business as usual following a crisis.

Martin Schachtschneider describes a case history he will present: that of a large fire in an industrial chicken facility in 2016. He explains that behind an apparently simple industry is a highly automated high-tech operation with a precisely planned and challenging supply chain.
“Due to professional and precisely scheduled restoration, the factory was back in business after 13 days. The media interest was huge and the case will be reviewed with a focus on how the responsible teams were put together, how quick decisions could be made, how responsibilities were organised and how communication lines were managed.”
